So the rough percentages of representation are as follows:

    862 R (33%) 817 I (31%) 796 D (30%) 132 UN (5%) 2607 Total

On immigration Rs were 92% approve and Dems were 85% disapprove. Independents were roughly even split. On the economy, Rs and Ds kept about the same but Independents split to about 60% disapprove. This makes me think the Is are comprised of a lot of people that are apathetic until they are personally affected. Extrapolating on this assumption, we need to deport some of the apathetic idiots to let them understand what the fuck they are allowing by being idiots.

With such a sharp divide, sometimes I wish we could separate north and south states. They can have their own country with no government “handouts” and we can have ours

Decades of “individual freedom” being pushed as a top priority probably help to get the US to this spot. Caring about one’s fellow citizens being derided as “socialism” probably helps, too.

So 1/3 of Americans are in a cult of hate and idiocy whether they know it or not.

The difficulty is getting 75% of the remaining population on board. 75% of a wide range of ideologies to agree that freedom and investment in America are better than submission, oppression, and chaos.

So, convincing 75% of people that allowing the government to deport innocent people (innocent until proven guilty and we know many of them are actually innocent) is actually really fucking bad.

Woo, for a second there I was about to have some faith restored. Good to know it’s safe and sound at rock bottom.

Yes. But I think you underestimate passive acceptance. Half this country is not paying attention to anything that doesn’t directly damage their ability to eat and pay rent. If their social media algorithm doesn’t show them it then they basically have no idea and respond to surveys with the idea of “yeah, I don’t like criminals in the country”.

Normies dont disapprove of anything until they literally have it happen to their face. They’ll be passively accepting until the day they or someone they know gets a visit from ICE and disappear.

I live in a red town in a blue state. It is sustained by government projects and has been expanding based on the security of those projects since around 1943. Most anyone with any money is either in construction, real estate, or government work. A large portion of our population are aging and/or veterans. You would think there would be some concern. It’s possible there is, but all I experience from them is increasing hostility for increasingly absurd reasons.

I want the focus to be on corporate and government overreach, reducing wealth disparity, social programs with no means test, collecting enough tax to not have to borrow to meet expenses in a progressive manner…
