About 150w with nothing plugged in.

Even assuming a relatively modest $0.15/kWh, that’s ~$200/year, and just for a switch. 10GbE is nice, but I’m not convinced it’s worth that much. 2.5G is plenty for a fraction of the power draw.

Yeah, that power consumption is a non-starter. Even assuming a relatively modest $0.15/kWh, that’s ~$200/year, and just for a switch. 10GbE is nice, but I’m not convinced it’s worth that much. 2.5G is plenty for a fraction of the power draw.
Not to mention the fans volume.
