    I’m pretty sure after the end of ww2 the only war Denmark has been a part of outside of UN/Nato responsibilities was the Whiskey war, which was cheeky and fun. Unlike America, which for is basically in a forever war with (today’s villain of the week). Not sure I’d call that safer.

      “Outside of NATO responsibilities” doesn’t quite do the situation justice. Iraq, Afghanistan. The Danish Army went whereever the US asked them to go. Rarely anyone in Europe truly believed that these wars were necessary or even beneficial to protect our borders but most countries went anyway because it was what America wanted. This is how the current administration shows its gratitude.
