I’ve seen them do this, too! Crows are scary smart, I think they can even recognize specific humans and remember whether or not they’re good people.
Ohh, that explains the really rich, deep colors they always used in the backgrounds. I loved the moody atmosphere that show managed to capture. Way ahead of its time, especially for a kids’ cartoon.
Oh that makes sense, thanks!

It’s a very useful way to be assertive when confronting somebody with a problem you have with them.
Pineapple and jalapeno.
Does the court decide that he has to wear the vest, or was that a decision by his team? I know the shackles are typically requested by the court, but my understanding is that the rest of a defendant’s wardrobe is their own decision.

Sorry, can you please be more specific? That hardly narrows it down.
I’d like to go back to a simpler time. A time when nazis got shot in the fucking face.
Well, mail was nice while it lasted.
IIRC, he was allegedly not supposed to laugh in that scene, and he was just caught off-guard by Gene ad-libbing the “morons” line, so that’s an authentic laugh that they kept in the film.
No no, don’t take it away from him. In fact, he’s been such a good boy lately, he deserves extra. A lot extra.
I can’t see any posts from the last year when viewing that from Mbin. Which is weird because I’m also somehow already subscribed to it, so I should be seeing newer posts.
She’s LARPing.
Their promo video is hilarious. Agent 47 over here immediately jumps behind the “protectee” as she climbs into an SUV, like six inches behind her. Even though he has backup and there is no crowd, he’s handling it like a celebrity-vs-mob situation or something. He has no clue what he’s doing, just what he thinks looks right for the camera.
I’ve worked with a real, retired bodyguard before; somebody who has had to protect people from actual, active threats in hostile environments. He was the head of security at the office I worked in, and was chill as fuck. People like that carry themselves a certain way. They move with intent and telegraph nothing. The dude I worked with was in his 60s but could still whoop my ass before I knew what hit me, he was like what I’d imagine a retired Jason Bourne to be.
These guys are like… the Paul Blart version of that. They’re just doing live-fire LARPing.
My understanding is that Briar is ethically the best
I’m out of the loop, what does this mean?
What’s the difference between 8 billion dollars and 8 million dollars?
Approximately 8 billion dollars.
Keep in mind, it’s not a real score. That’s only what that user sees, based on upvotes from servers their instance is federated with. My instance is federated with a different list of servers, so my score for you is slightly different at 25584. Somebody on a third mbin instance will likely see a similar, but still different score.
Private personal security firms exist, and are often used by celebrities, CEOs, and the like. Generally speaking, what you get with those services is just an armed dude who will follow you around and make sure that people keep a safe distance from you. He’ll get between you and anybody who may be approaching too aggressively, and will mostly just serve as a physical barrier, more than anything.
They will not take a bullet for you, though. While there’s an inherent risk of being attacked as part of the job, they’re not going to “get down Mr President” you. While they will do what they can to protect you, they’re not going to intentionally sacrifice themselves for you.
