That first article quotes Obama trying to close it. From the sounds of it congress attached keeping the base open as a rider to another defense funding bill. That’s a common tactic I think

To add to this comment, it’s not hard to find any of this information. “States grouped into areas” scroll to find your state, or again ctrl+f. “Hard to find cities” thankfully living in my area and being somewhat familiar with said area I can scroll down the list and find farmers in my general area. Short of putting in my address and searching for ‘closest to’ which I hate anyway, this isn’t as bad an interface as op suggests.

I have friends that voted for Trump. Not many but a couple. Am I friends with all Republicans? No just like I’m not friends with all democrats.

In order to radicalize someone, one of the first steps is cutting them off from people that disagree with what you are trying to teach/preach/say. When you pre emptivly do their cutting of for these republican friends/ family you are just leaving them in an echo chamber of hate/racism. Believe it out not, like what some others have said, not all republican voters are bad people.

It sucks for sure. On average I invite 20ish people and expect 5 to show up. If nobody shows up I’m still eating the good food and having a couch bonfire. Ain’t nobody stopping my fun

A surgery that my little one needed was being denied by insurance two weeks ago. Yesterday when calling for the pre surgery instructions we were notified that last surgery was approved. So we were doing all three requested surgeries at once and only having to put her under once.

I don’t know if this was the cause but there was a 180 on the approval.

I’m guessing it’s a power thing. They have “trophies” to get off too

“Real news” sub reddits let porn, nsfw content, onlyfans and whatnot on them because they were not actively or thoroughly moderated. Some users were upset,To emphasize their point started posting nsfw anime pictures.

Someone decided they had enough and broke off into their own sub reddit that has actual news and it was called /r/animetitties or something.

That’s my job title.

Anything is fuel if you try hard enough. I melted down an aluminum boat in a bonfire last fall. But pitch, fat and aluminum while burnable/melt able do not smell like “fuel” as the average person would associate them.

Fun fact fat was used in early soaps made to smell “good”.
