Unfortunately yes, but people do notice but they just brush it off and keep committing fraud. When there’s no real punishment, why bother hiding? Without action, and this is not just protesting action, but real action, we are boned. Truthfully a lot of people just can’t justify the risk to life for true action - be it family, friends or other loved ones that hold them back, and thus the machine keeps on chugging away

As someone who works for a large US-based company, we are locking in large contracts ASAP for compute power to hopefully keep us sated and avoid these from being an extinction event. We were already discussing some vendors not offering supply contracts already because they see the writing on the wall for their own profit margins

It’s super frustrating but as an example - my parents are deeply conservative and supportive of Trump, and also on the lower end of “wealth” and semi-retired. It is 100% misinformation. My Dad quotes the Fox news rhetoric like it’s facts, and regardless of me disproving most of the BS, he is completely brain washed. At this point Trump could run a live execution of his political opponents and the Trumpets would more or less shrug.

Considering they are in a literal desert, they would have to be fairly sustainable to exist in the first place. Not saying it’s not super impressive, my dad lived out there when they were building up a lot of the expanded infrastructure and he has some cool stories about how he saw the desert on the outskirts disappear as they added in all the water and transportation stuff
