I use ‘du -Lhs’ to check directory size. How long does it take for you to run that command? The only time I’ve ever run into a ‘du’ command taking a long time is when running it over the network to a slow-ass 2010-era system in California for a project I was doing at work with hundreds of terabytes of data and millions of files.
Y’all are actually into specific teas! I just like anything fruity, lol. Usually decaf, because my body despises caffeine.
Lmao, do it… would love to see what that entails
Edited for today’s events: first panel says “Yay, a nazi tree, let’s relax under that”, and the guy’s hat is red. Comic ends. Bonus panel is them carving in a 2nd swastika.
What you also forgot to mention is just how much trash we generate… that would be a massive limiting factor as well. It’s hard enough to get a few tons of stuff on a rocket going to space. I couldn’t get an exact figure on a quick google search but humanity generates somewhere on the order of tens of thousands of metric tons of trash per day
Right - but try asking “set an alarm in five minutes” - this used to set an alarm (say it’s 10:00, would set a 10:05 alarm). Now it sets a timer, which of course snoozes differently
Great… now can they finally fix Siri starting timers instead of alarms for anything under an hour? It’s driving me crazy still!
Mental illness and/or corruption, probably (along with a host of other things I’m sure)
If you cut the O in corn syrup in half you get 2 uppercase D’s, therefore, it’s actually 199.4% D. Checkmate
People can’t be arsed to turn their phones sideways
My grandfather lives in the south, and for a number of years after Tesla became a big name, he genuinely thought it was “Tesler” because that’s just how everyone he knew was pronouncing it
That’s incredible
Tbh I’m surprised you know what a glockenspiel is but not a xylophone, lol (For the record… it’s pretty much just a bigger glockenspiel, yeah)
I’ve also mentioned this before but for those that need a more photoshop-like GIMP experience, try taking a look at PhotoGimp, it’s essentially a reskin+remap of all of the hotkeys to more closely match those of photoshop, and it works wonderfully.
