3rd party API restrictions as they ramped up for their IPO and the shitshow that ensued.
If they are static, they’ll probably be like this:
AM…AMerica
I was at the zoo a few years ago when Aldabra Tortoises were fucking. It was that but a few octaves lower, and you could hear it from the start of the section. If you imaging what a large turtle fucking would sound like in some dumb sex comedy movie, it was exactly that.
My mom got me my first one in 2019 or 2020 because she thought it was cute (Guyfolye from Silicon Valley). A few months later she asked me if they were just Beanie Babies and I thought that was the end of it. Now every Christmas I get one even though she knows I don’t like them and we both snark on the super niche weird ones. She even got custom ones for me and my wife last year. It never ends, and I have 6 sets of beady little eyes staring at me when I’m watching TV in the basement.
Metal for the most part now. One of my cousins got into woodworking over lockdown and said I could borrow whatever I need from her (as long as she’s not using it)
Torque and breaker bar are my top contenders for stuff I will be using in the foreseeable future
Worth getting a multimeter and battery tester vs just a multimeter? Was planning on getting back into soldering and was thinking of just getting a good MM and using that for electric for home and car
I bought most of my stuff from there so far. A friend told me to look around forums to see what the “good tools” there are. I got mainly Pittsburgh tools since I’m just starting and they’re cheap, but is there anytime I should look at their more “premium” brands?
Took me awhile to find a torque wrench when I was working a few weeks ago. Wish I knew tool libraries were a thing!
My grandpa was a painter so I understand how awesome painters tape is lol.
I was gifted a 3FT level and have some long needle nose pliers. Got some flexible extenders at the store when I was buying stuff for the last project. A good headlamp or bright lantern is definitely on my list
I am starting to get that. I had to borrow a few things last time so I have an idea of what I need, but no need getting other things until they are in use.
No wrench set yet, but hoping Santa brings them this year. What should I be looking for in a set?
And I have a few flashlights after lockdown prepping. Looking to get a good headlamp now and lantern style light.
Milwaukee is one of the brands that has my eye for power tools. I’ve only used Mikita or Milwaukee power tools in my life, just because that’s what we were provided at an e-recycle/electronic refurbish shop I worked at years ago.
We all know this wouldn’t happen.
Whew that was a close one. I started reading comics again a few years ago and only have been getting TPB or HCs. Who has space for boxes of singles?
It really does lol. I wasn’t too concerned about this project and have been focusing on the next phase plus a few other projects in the pipeline, but knowing this really helped. My mom is having surgery tomorrow so I’ll have to take care of her for the next few days, plus my wife’s car was throwing some nasty codes that had me stressed. At least now I know work is in a good place as I take a few days off to take care of my mom and tinker with a car.
Edit: If anyone has any tips for doing a piston soak on a KIA 1.6L engine please let me know. I am not the most mechanically inclined but can follow instructions from repair docs and YouTube videos. My friend who usually helps with my repairs is busy this weekend, but has confidence in me to do this after watching/helping him with DIY repairs over the years. Plus I can justify buying tools lol
End of life hardware replacement at work. Deadline for the project is in a few weeks. Our engineering team just sent out a new BIOS upgrade for devices that get them up to TPM 2.0 which is the main requirement for the project. We went from ~5 completions a week to under one now to stay on track. Wasn’t really too worried about it but it will make work a piece of cake for a little.
Aged like a sushi delivery order where they sandwich the sushi container between my edamame boxes.
“Hey bud do you still have that Amazon gift card from Christmas?”
