Trump’s friendship with Putin is not fresh news and American voters have not given a shit
In Iran there are also people who love democracy, but I am sorry to say that, just like in America, they are a minority.

Good luck with supplies, maintenance and spare parts
Of course, because the new American administration has proven to be a reliable ally. They can foresee Europe and Ukraine
If they had enough vision and created a real common army, we could look at the big players as equals and be a superpower in our own right.
However, I believe that these cowards will not go beyond empty words and will put us on the same level as Latin America in the 50s. Ready to be divided up and impoverished by people with true leadership.
On unrelated topics, I am now radicalized and I hope that capitalism falls violently
Looking at the comments, it seems that the important thing is that those more than 800,000 are idiots, and it is obvious that they are, but I think it is more important that the current president has scammed with all the shamelessness and without any concealment to its own citizens. I’ll leave it up to everyone to reflect on what that means for a supposed democracy.
The new global economic order: “The USA is not a reliable partner. Even if these tariffs are overturned by Congress or anyone else in a short time, the US government wants to impose them. They are not someone to make deals or do business with. Let’s distance them from our economy as much as possible.”
Great job orange man
“something we have in common”
I think it’s a good project and I agree that we need to think about the fediverse from a “marketing” perspective.
Ok, I might be the exception, but as I said before, Instagram has its main user base among people of my generation. I don’t think those users care about bandwidth at any level.
I would never upvote without seeing what community it is in. It wouldn’t happen to me on Lemmy but the Reddit algorithm spent weeks showing you stuff from that sub and it was something I hated, maybe over time I ended up doing what you said, but for now I still have the habit of doing it.
Yes, a link without a preview is unpleasant
I am 38 years old, I remember perfectly when downloading a single song could easily take a week, porn was exclusively photos because online videos were unimaginable and streaming hadn’t even been invented yet. I don’t understand why you’re still worried about that right now, photos, videos, games, movies, everything moves online in a matter of seconds, downloading at +10Mb/s on emule is today normal. I have gotten used to it normally.
I don’t agree at all with the author’s approach. I’m a millennial and I came to Reddit around 2019-2020, using it a lot since the pandemic, I prefer the new reddit a thousand times. It’s not a question of interpreting the site as questions, it seems like a nonsense to me. It’s a matter of making everything more visual, I don’t stop to read the title, the community or the author, at a glance I see the vast majority of the post, if I consider it I see the rest of the information, most of the time I ignore the information, because I don’t care.
I would like to remind you that Instagram (the example given in the article) is mostly used by millennials.
Anyone still looking for news on Twitter at this point is actively seeking to be misinformed.
Not specifically for this news, it’s been obvious for a while now.
No, he is not the owner of Mastodon. No, his company is not responsible for what happens there, because there is no company or similar. A non-profit foundation (chaired by Eugen Rochko) develops the software and launches it on mastodon.social, and that foundation does not even participate in what the rest of the instances do. They could go crazy tomorrow, sell the domain or change the software to make it more invasive, the rest of the instances would be sent to hell and the network would continue as if nothing had happened
It has an owner who can do with it whatever he wants. When you participate in that, you give value to another’s property. Matodon, lemmy and the rest of the fediverse are collective, they do not have a single owner, giving value to the platform only gives value to its users.
I don’t know about the rest, but for me that is an insurmountable problem.
I’m not going to discuss it with you, because I’m not a doctor nor is it the issue, but the health authorities (at least the European ones) do not agree with your statement.
Personally I think that financing a platform like this with premium subscriptions is illusory. I could be wrong but what are they going to offer as a premium?
I think it may be interesting to note that Spotify is closing its first green year in its history this year, for reference.
Liz Truss giving advice on power is a joke in itself
