Many of the promised features still have yet to be implemented, and the physics of the game are still janky as fuck.
Cyberpunk doesn’t get a pass just because half of the list has finally been implemented and the game has been polished……three fucking years later.
This is probably my favorite explanation for it.
It tries to be emotional, at least the main story. But it fucking fails miserably. I think the only part that actually got me feeling dread or interest was going to visit NASA on Earth. That shit was amazing it pisses me off we only spend ONE FUCKING MISSION on that planet and never go back for anything else.
This is why I can still play Fallout 4 heavily modded and have a lot of fun. Because the core gameplay is really good. It just needed more quest variety and RPG elements.
Starfield is wrong on a fundamental level. Exploration is a HUGE problem in Starfield and frankly with how they implemented it there’s not much you can do to fix it. However, land rovers would be a great step.
Given that they’ve recently tried to bring back paid mods, I wouldn’t be surprised. I booted up Skyrim last night to see the new store and my god. They REALLY try to push credits on you.
Tbf I believe they did make it an option in settings to disable holding E and just making it a press. If I remember correctly. I played about 6 months ago.
It wasn’t really a hack though so much as it manipulated the way it identifies itself to Apples servers. Apple obviously changed something there in retaliation so it’s not working now, but depending on the severity of the change they could get around this.
Honestly though it won’t last long. Eric has a history of being overly ambitious and it’s why Pebble failed.
Maybe stop releasing a new fucking game every god damn year
For me, they STILL haven’t fixed the most important issue with No Mans Sky, which is actually occupying the planets with interesting POIs instead of copy and pasting the same damn thing or just having nothing at all. Hence why I get so fucking bored 15 hours in. Plus the lack of any biomes, just a single biome across every freaking planet with the same fauna and flora so you know exactly what to expect.
So I’m curious to see how they tackle those issues beforehand. Regardless, PR has never been their strongsuit so I’ll be sticking far away from them for the time being. We’ll see how this goes.
RDR2 is so massively detailed and open that frankly I think that game is worth HUNDREDS of hours of gameplay. Two years in and I’m still finding new things to do. I agree I didn’t spend that long with V outside of the main story given how little there is to do, but it’s safe to say they’re gonna take everything that was a masterpiece with RDR2 and just put it in GTA. That’s kind of why the hype is so large.
You do realize lightning was conceptualized AFTER his death?
Not only that, but the industry standard at the time was Micro USB. So either a really good, reversible charger for the time, or a piece of shit cable that dies after 4 months. Take your pick.
Ah, that I can understand then.
Let’s be honest, who the fuck doesn’t have a phone number in 2023? My 9 year old cousin has an iPhone SE.
Well we’re already getting removable batteries which is exciting as fuck. That one will require even more of a major redesign that it will 100% come to the US.
All hail the EU for saving tech.
Honestly the last iPhone I felt truly excited for was the iPhone X. That felt like the phone Apple was leading up to for a decade. Then the 14 Pro came out and I’ll admit, the Dynamic Island was very creative. Not really innovative, but creative.
What was so cool about Jobs is that he had this brain that wanted to take risks and come up with crazy shit that may have only been theoretically possible, and push the talented engineers to make it happen.
That being said, I don’t know why people are so surprised. Jobs isn’t around anymore, and smartphones have matured to a point where there’s nothing to push. What exactly are people hoping to change?
I’ll say this. For how much shit Steve Jobs gets, regardless of his personal life, he would never allow this shit to happen. That crazy bastard is responsible for getting rid of the floppy drive and pushing the industry towards USB 1.0 because he believed enough in it. That we would benefit.
You can find old forum posts of the original iMac launch and see how surprised and somewhat upset people are at this revelation. Now look where we are.
I think it’s more that USB 2 speeds at the bare minimum are a really trash value for an $800 phone. I get what you mean, as this will push the “pro” consumers who absolutely must have 4K ProRes RAW video/photo transfers to buy the Pro models, but for real. It is shitty from a consumer perspective regardless.
Which is why I support the idea of setting up bases on the Moon and/or Mars.
Everything is accelerating, and nobody gives a fuck to do anything before it’s too late. I hate the argument that NASA doesn’t push its budget to prevent CC or even Space X. Because stopping CC is a global effort on a colossal scale. It’s not going to work until it’s too late. Might as well get off this rock.
Edit: Very fucking optimistic of you all
I like how you just assume that we haven’t advanced technology or safety features at all since the 1930s.
Because it’s a pile of fucking shit.
Who wants to spend over 3k on a headset you can’t even game with? Let alone has hardly any app support on launch.
