That’s what I’m seeing too. Mastadon is kind of cool, there are some cool things to see there but it’s in the world of Twitter, Instagram etc where it’s all about the self promoting, and not about building community really.

Absolutely, also laws that regulate volume in all ads across all platforms. Also laws that forbid campaign ads.

This is the best option. Especially if you set the motion sensor lower to the ground so that the birds at the feeder aren’t triggering it, just the cats when they come up.
