Hellhole is a great description. Especially the area I live in. I’ve found a couple of havens where I can socialize with like-minded people, so at least I have some kind of sanctuary from the madness that surrounds me. I have to drive 45 minutes to get to those places but that’s whatever at this point for me.

I use computers at work. Outside of work I use my phone, my Steamdeck, and my PS5 for my needs/entertainment. After fixing and working on computers all day, I don’t wanna even see another computer after I leave the office. So I just don’t own one. I borrow my grandma’s laptop if I absolutely need to use a computer outside of work lol.

Things are much better. I got the help I need and I’m thriving for the most part. I’m far more successful than my bullies. Last I saw, they’re either dead, addicts/drunks, or working dead-end retail jobs and hate their lives.
I was bullied relentlessly throughout school. Kids told me to kill myself daily. And I tried to multiple times.
My mother contacted the school and the police when my bullies broke into our house when they thought I was home alone and the authorities just said, “Boys will be boys.” We moved shortly after.

Honestly, the only thing I see actually working is more Luigis. Gotta have the fucks in charge scared enough to comply, or just outta the way entirely. I’m not advocating violence, obviously, but I honestly don’t see anything else bringing about change. Protest doesn’t seem to work, and none of the Democrat politicians care enough to actually act. Voting doesn’t seem to be worth a damn, but I still do it anyway because it’s something I can do and takes like 5 mins. I can’t protest because I work, and I can’t be loud on online forums where I can be identified because I don’t want anyone who knows me professionally (clients) to know my true opinions.
God I wish I could quiet my brain for just a minute. I always have thoughts going in and out like crazy. It’s hard to keep shit straight. I go back through the various notes I wrote for myself every day to try to organize the random shit I think about and most of it is absolute nonsense.
Literally have multiple playlists that are video games soundtracks. One is just all of the songs, others are game specific. Cyberpunk, Warframe, and Fallout have some of the best music imo
Replace kids with pets and add handling multiple chronic illnesses and it’s my life.
I get crazy bad itches as a side effect of my lupus medication. It gets worse with sun exposure.
Slathering absurd amounts of cooling lotion on the itchy spots overloads my senses enough to make me forget the itchiness until it subsides.
Would love to have one, but my neurologist said even slight vibrations in my mouth can fuck with my epilepsy. That means a migraine because my medicine prevents seizures. Going to the dentist is an affair that wrecks me for the whole day.
I work at an MSP and I have calls like this twice a month. I hate it
