Seriously, when I first heard of this guy, I thought he must be smart. Then he started talking about things in my career field, and thought wow, that’s a stupid thing to say. The more he talked, the more I realised he’s a moron about nearly everything. Now I’m not convinced he can actually get dressed unassisted.

When we protest, the understanding needs to be there that we’ll become militant if they ignore us. If we don’t get our way and just peacefully go home, there’s no point to protest in the first place.

Chaining ourselves to their gates, hunger striking, throwing bricks, burning effigies, etc – these tactics are often decried as not peaceful enough, but they show we’re not going to stop at words. That we’re prepared to escalate. We need to make them afraid. We need to show them if they don’t listen very soon, their heads will literally roll. And then we must be willing to follow through. If we don’t, we may as well start heiling now.

You don’t spend billions to buy a presidency and then not use it. That would be wasteful.

I was senior UxD on the most popular screenshotting software from around 2002-2012 with more than 10 million users, on windows and Mac (I designed the 1.0 Mac interface). It’s software many of you have likely used, especially if you’ve ever done documentation.

I was also the designer and DbA for two of the largest government grant programs in the early 2000s, including management software for dept of education and dept of justice.

I hate to ‘akshualllyyy’, but actually there’s nothing in US law or the constitution that precludes a convicted felon from running for or holding office.

There was a lot of legal talk leading up to the last election about that, along with plenty of surprise that was the case. It turns out it was another of those gentlemen’s agreements that was never codified because up until very recently, most people just assumed voters were smart enough not to elect someone like that, so codifying it wasn’t worth anyone’s time.

If we ever wrest control back from these ghouls, there are a shit-ton of things that need codifying.

Because contrary to what they say in public, they actually do believe a global climate disaster is coming. They all have extremely well-stocked doomsday bunkers the size of small towns with a host of servants to keep them fat and happy, and they’re now trying to juice us for all we’re worth before we die.

It sounds like there wasn’t an extra coating that I removed, but that I just etched the fired coating, making it dull rather than glossy – so it’s the same outer coating that existed, it’s just not glossy anymore. In theory, it’s still as food-safe as it was, but it’s porous now (it kinda feels like silicone).

That’s a great point. The dishwasher itself isn’t usually the problem, though, right? It’s letting things air dry in there, so water sits in crevices. If you take things out immediately and towel-dry them, they’re fine.

I don’t typically wash things with metal crevices in the dishwasher because I’m too lazy to be hawkish like that, and cookware/lids and knives are strictly forbidden anyhow. If I have to work to restore this thing, I’ll never let it air dry again.
