The advice is/can be used in a ton of different situations, you seem to only think it’s for a very narrow and small part of those. And even then, it’s not always the best thing, someone can be themselves 99.99% of the time but sometimes it’s better to hold it back. Even something as simple as if they’re meeting your parents for the first time and you know there will be problems if you don’t tell them to not mention something, act like they think differently about something etc.
This very much isn’t just about a possible partner for you and all the time. I don’t understand how you thought that was the only thing. It’s like if someone said a common feature of cars might not be worth keeping on all the time and you read that as only a specific line of Volvo cars, in very specific situations and like you can’t turn it on and off. See how weird and dumb that is?
Never seen one without a “jump to recipe” button at the top, and I read a lot of recipes. So this is only stupidity on the readers part.
Why say this when you clearly don’t know instead of looking it up? This exact thing is, just stating something that’s purely ignorance, is way too common. How did you not realise you’re ignorant about this? And then you decide that you should comment and not only show everyone you’re ignorant about it but also that you’re an idiot for not realising that. It’s just so fucking dumb.
How do you not understand that someone just having it and someone actively using it is completely different?
Nah, it’s far more things than just those. I’m guessing the person who made this doesn’t have anyone who’s good at cooking around them. I used to have a friend who was like that, he and his gf only cooked 3 or 4 dishes and they were all bland as fuck. The only spices etc. they had were salt, pepper, thyme and a huge 1-litre box of cheap taco seasoning. Whenever I cooked for them, they were blown away, and I tried giving them some other species, but they never used them.
All you did with this post was show everyone you’re an idiot, and you not realising that before posting just increases the level of stupidity. And we’re on lemmy, a place where almost everyone is more tech literate than most and generally less dumb too, yet here you are. It’s a miracle how you managed to get here and figure out instances etc.
I’ve never seen one without a 'jump to recipe" button, and it’s done for several reasons like search engine optimization, getting people to spend more time on your website, and you can’t copyright just a recipe, so adding text gives them the ability to protect their work. There are more reasons, and many think it’s as annoying to write all that as you think it is for being there. They’re kinda forced to do it, and some actually have fun with it, I’ve read several funny ones which I absolutely would rather have read than not.
There are many articles about this, and obviously also many posts everywhere on the web asking why it’s a thing with answers explaining it.
But as said, there’s always a button right at the top to skip it. You’re never forced to manually scroll past it and obviously not forced to read any of it.
I really don’t see it at all, nothing about it has any GTA details or vibes.
Apparently you can’t read.
I’d say the only reason you didn’t feel that before was ignorance, the American flag is NOT a thing of good. It has been fucked up from the very beginning. And to us who are not Americans, it’s very obvious how much your country absolutely forces brainwashing of all citizens from the second they’re born. American patriotism and love for the flag etc. is in the same way that for example a priest shows how much they’re against homosexuality and other sins like it then they’re found with child-p (I don’t want to fully write it) and stuff like that. It’s the school bully that screams about how cool and strong they are, when they’re exactly the opposite.
It was never a flag with lots of good behind it, it’s one of the least deserving of patriotism flags. And the fact that it is so heavily used, just like patriotism, lying about history in schools, the military shit is all extremely fucked up. It’s brainwashing on a disgusting level.
As with too many posts here, you really didn’t think for more than a second about this. This community is great at showing that many people have a thought and just stops right there, not further thinking or action about of of any kind. It’s so weird, especially like here when they go an posts it online for others to see.
“Nintendo NES”
Seriously? That’s almost grandma saying “playbox” level. And do you not know what NES is an abbreviation of? Its “Nintendo entertainment system”, which means you wrote “Nintendo Nintendo entertainment system”.
I fucking hate that emoji spam people do, one is enough. People never did that shit with ascii smileys.
Congratulations, you are wrong!
Is just not as good*
