Well we did have AusAid, just got renamed to DFAT (Department Foreign Affairs and Trade), which do provide assistance to foreign nations but our scope is limited and as far as I could see we were not really buying any excess agricultural production to send off. I have to look into it because maybe we don’t or all of ours is absorbed into the Asian markets. But was thinking due to the US BS could be a good opportunity to still help our farmers while doing some good at the same time. Bang for our buck, when I saw the USAID doing it for their farmers before it was cut I thought its a great program that provides benefits across the board.

Heya you are correct that the rest of the world is being dragged into it. The tarrifs for us (Australia) have a little silver lining though, our meat will be cheaper if what we exported to the US stays here and no alternative market is found so I am happy about that. The farmers will feel it but us Aussies are always happy to help bail the farmers out tbh, could be a good opportunity for us to create something similar to USAID and send some food where its needed. Who knows really, but its an opportunity for everyone except the US. So thanks for making every other nation (that was trading with the US) great again.

I am just going to say that the republicans/conservatives that continue to vote for the same party because its a tradition in their family is just as stupid as the non-voters. I want to point out that just because wealth is being hoarded by a few industries does not mean this is not necessarily good for workers or the average citizens. Yeah understandable, alot of stuff happening and it’s easy to miss a single thing. Unfortunately the volume of stuff that is happening can make it hard to keep track of everything which is also why it’s hard to combat it. This sheer volume and the time needed these days to process and even just fact check is I think a huge problem why people are either ignorant or just misinformed. They don’t have the time and just settle with the narrative in front of them… even if that narrative is incorrect.

Btw I will have to ask, but there has been alot of cutting this and that but has anyone heard about what they plan on spending all this “recouped” money on or we just know they are lining their pockets and the pockets of their friends?

I am not seeing a great future for the US, the apathetic majority (those that did not vote) need to feel more pain to be spurred into action. I feel that their lives are too comfortable to even pay attention to whats happening. I am seeing an increase of various parties within the US spurring into action like you said its mostly local, which is good to see but more pain needs to be felt by the citizens for a much larger resistance to take place.

No no, they love free speech when it allows them to use hate speech against others. They only hate free speech when others opinions disagrees with their own. That is the difference between left and right, left understand that free speech means we have to protect against hate speech, the right rails against censorship regarding hate speech as a vehicle against “oppression” so they can be the ones that can attack those that disagree with them with hate speech.

Maybe you should refer to the fact that maybe it’s the sources you are sourcing your information from and not the parties? Makes me think you are unaware that some media are bias and it’s good to check where a sources leans in terms of political views. This is also typically evident by how they frame a situation. In this case the republicans are the ones that pushed that messaging that was then perpetuated by the news.
