My first thought, luckily a virus and not a prion disease. Still sucks.

Yes, I think I was wrong with my assumption.
Is muscle tissue even infectious? (Especially when grown from a few cells) Don’t you need to eat some brain or spinal cord?
Strangely enough, in my bubble it is quite descent. People often posting interesting research and advances in the field.
In OSMAnd you can make a map with aerial tiles from bing. You have to configure the map view yourself but it is doable.
Edit: Enable Online maps plugin. Then enable Microsoft Earth as a base or overlay map.
That is about the experience I have. I asked it for factual information in the field I work at. It didn’t gave correct answers. Or, it gave working protocols which were strange and would not be successful.
Yes, obviously there isn’t one cancer, but about every cancer is different. So yeah I give you that. Now, my other argument is you can make the same or more money with one time, possible curative therapies than with live prolonging one. See for example Kymriah. Sure, big and small pharma invest most in development were they can expect a high revenue. Either were there is a big patient population or a small population which have a high medical need. (And therefore are willing to pay a high price).
Do you really think the CEOs of big pharma don’t know they themselves have a 20% chance to die of cancer? (Not to speak of their relatives). Would the selfish and rich big pharma company leader not do everything to prevent its early death?
Spending one billion on breast cancer drug discovery/ development would probably lead to one more drug which increases survival by 10-20%. Or if spend on fundamental research it would lead to a lot of additional knowledge. Which might lead in about 10 years (and a few billions more) to a few drugs which increase survival a further 30-40 %.
B.s. - Hitler went to prison.
No clue what Amazon is using. The one I have access to gave a sane answer.
GPT-4 gives a correct answer to the question.
I keep the C&C Tiberian sun and the original Far Cry box for nostalgia.
You know that this answer will be mashed into an “AI” training set somewhere.
Maybe because it was originally developed as a platform to discuss Marxism and Leninism?
Icaridine or IR3535 are so much better than DEET.
This is literally one example scenario used by the researchers.
I think in the example I would have asked, “Are you OK?”
(then she says no, before she proceeds to vomit into my bed or something like this ;-))
You just spent an evening out with Alyssa, a girl you think is really attractive. You’ve been dating her for several weeks. You think Alyssa looks really sexy. She’s wearing a short skirt and a blouse that shows her cleavage. You know that Alyssa has had casual sex with several guys since she’s been in college. Although you haven’t had sex with Alyssa, you’re really hoping you’ll get the chance to tonight. During your date, both of you had several alcoholic drinks. After your outing, the two of you go back to your place where you have some privacy. After chatting for a while, you and Alyssa start kissing. After a few minutes of making-out you’re feeling really turned on, so you start to reach under Alyssa’s shirt. Alyssa stops responding but doesn’t resist you in any way.
Both examples you mentioned were by itself overhyped.
Man, I would be so worried about impurities and side reactions. A good example is the recalls of drugs because of nitrosamine contamination. If stuff like this already happens to the experts.
And what is with the whole galenics side? How to make sure the absorption is about right…
