They’re not even going to pretend that people are equal. The Donvict, President Musk, and the MAGAstappo deeply believe that rich white men are worth more than anyone who isn’t one of them, and will use the full force of the law as they interpret it to protect their interests.

Just you wait. They’re going to push for laws specifically protecting what they’ll call “High Value Citizens” or something to that effect. Give it time.

I had this idea, like what if we used our own cells to make some of the identifying surface proteins of viruses and stuff, and use that to train our immune system on what to look for. We wouldn’t even need to cultivate the pathogen itself at all.

I hope some day we can invent some sort of treatment that could prevent kids from ever getting this disease.

Fortunately Ohio is full of people who will take this seriously and work to suppress disease transmission and encourage the development and distribution of vaccines. Right guys?

I have mixed feelings about that, because on the one hand I fucking hate that festering pustule that is Alex Jones and I absolutely revel in him being objectively wrong all the fucking time.

Exactly. We can’t rely on any sort of subtly or assumption of law. Precedent, be it of the courts or simply the traditional way of doing things, won’t stop them. It has to be solid law, and they’re still going to take it to court.

The actual stripping of protections, the laws they are or will pass, those are bad enough already, but sometimes it feels like the worst part is just how brave these bigot shitfuckers have become now that their pet nazi is in power. They don’t even have the decency to be afraid to fly their hate flag anymore. They were always shitty people, but at least they used to feel like the country at large would reject them for expressing their true feelings, hence all the pushback against “Cancel Culture.” Now, though, they’re not even afraid of ostriziation, much less anything more substantial.

They drained it, then dredged the sludge off the bottom and used it to fill government positions. Again.

Remember that we’re not allowed to call for violence, even when all civil options have failed. There’s going to come a time when empty comments come to carry a meaning of their own.
