It’s pretty much just spam. It posts so frequently that having any hope of getting organic discussion on one of the threads is drowned out.
It’s goal seems to be to make Lemmy look more active, but achieves the opposite.

New comments is my favourite so far. Its a good mix of active discussions and fresh posts.
My paranoia about data breaches has gone down so much since I started using email aliases and a password manager
Here’s the account, because I spent longer than necessary trying to find it in the article. mastodon.social/@dungeons
Totally, I really wish the panic would die down. I’d love it if I could bring my friends over here, and there’s no way they’re going to do that without something like Threads.
No kidding. I’ve found I’ve got increasingly more impatient with slow talkers since I started messing with the playback speed. I used to watch videos at 1.25-1.5x, now its up to 2.5-3x
I get the feeling that you don’t understand that you don’t need to sign up at the other instance to subscribe to the community. You can just click the link and subscribe from your current account, and everything will be as it was.
It could have to do with the transfer of property vs. services. When you don’t pay at a restaurant you’re stealing property (food). Rent is a service, the landlord doesn’t lose property if you don’t pay rent.
Utility bills and rent and such are also contract disputes, there’s no contract involved with a restaurant.
Or its down to intent. If it could be proven that you had no intention to pay a bill, that’s probably criminal fraud. Conversely, if you’re at a restaurant, refuse to pay and argue that service was inadequete, that’d be a civil issue.
Just spitballing here.
Maybe its because I’m an Android user, and have no real connection to Apollo, but I agree. I appreciate the effort OP put into this, but those eyes on a rat just creeps me out.
Thankfully the hide post feature was recently implemented. This would’ve pissed me off for the entire time its on the front page.
OP this is stupid. A screen capture would have sufficed.
I don’t see what’s so bad about it. It might not be the most imaginative, but it fits in with other icons on my home screen. It’s considerably better than Jerboa’s for example.
As someone else said, just change the icon if you hate it so much. There’s already some community made ones posted here.
Yeah, I would rather not get abusive DMs from some loser demanding to know why I downvoted them. At least don’t show lemmy users’ votes. Kbin users can agree to opt-in to that by using the service, we can’t.
Yeah, I’ve blocked @[email protected] so I don’t accidentally do that. I could see it maybe being useful back before the massive influx we recently had, and only if it posted the top 3 or so posts of a subreddit per day.
Now it’s useless, arguably making Lemmy worse. It seems plenty active here now that I’ve subscribed to a bunch of (real) communities.
