And those are just the larger ones I thought of offhand, I’m sure there are more. Yet I’m also pretty sure most americans would agree that things like women voting, social security, medicaid, workers rights, civil rights, voting rights, ending child labour, etc, are pretty important things that were passed into law.

You also have to keep in mind that both the police and military are “outsiders” to capitalists. They are often poor, and can side with the public. Capitalists rely on total obedience of the military and police, if that breaks, they’re done.
The whole “seizing guns” thing is a red herring. One general strike and no amount of guns will matter, capitalists need constant, increasing wealth. To not just lower their money but stop incoming money is death to them. Imagine every port, airport, train station, service industry business, etc, all with no workers.
They can call all the cops and infantry they want, those same people will constantly be asked to kill friends and family. The ones willing to do so will decrease in number until the inevitable toppling of the governing body.

Just a reminder but the bourgeoisie are the “middle class”, and that the CEO who was killed is part of a capitalist oligopoly.

It takes a lot of people to make a missile, yet it only takes one to declare war. Who’s more at fault? If I steal a thousand elderly people’s retirement savings, and someone else steals my car, are we equally thieves? What if the son of a person who I stole from took it, does that change anything?
Well if I’m going to ‘get it,’ you have to actually explain it. You’re dancing around the issue and I can’t tell for sure if it’s because you never get to this point in the conversation, or if you legitimately don’t know. You’ve been told to not like something and you’re following through on that, but it’s clear you just can’t fit the parts together. You’ve said passing on ideals, but you haven’t explained the connection. The more people around me the more people I can pass my ideals onto – why would more people decrease that ability, and why would getting a vasectomy stop it, either?
Do you believe in your ideals? Do you want them to be passed on to another generation? If the answer to these questions is no, then I fully support your decision to remove yourselves from the gene pool.
What if your answer is yes, and you want to pass on your ideals to the next generation. Why does having a vasectomy change that? Can someone not pass their ideas on to their adopted children, or their nieces and nephews? Did Martin Luther King Jr. only pass his ideals onto his children, or did he spread his message to the people of both the US and the world? What does people getting vasectomies and people moving to their country change their ability to have ideals and show them to the world? I didn’t teach my kids to be kind to others, or to treat people with respect, by telling them: I did it by showing them those actions, and others see those as well, and it spreads.
Again, how does a vasectomy change your ability to pass on ideals?
