I know a family who was directly behind one and one of the thinner logs flew off the truck and through their window directly between the two adults in the front seat.
A friend of mine was riding behind a semi when the bracket holding the mudflap detached. Ended up with a 2 inch hole in his hood. The cop that came out wouldn’t write up a report for insurance because he didn’t believe the story, even in the middle of the damn interstate with a fresh hood hole. So my friend drove around for years with a hole in his hood. I think that’s the day he started hating cops.
It’s crazy that I can’t tell if it’s bait from a pretty good troll, a real supporter of the racist in chief himself who believes this shit, or a supporter who is trolling because their real life is kind of pathetic. They all kind of sound the same at this point. But the fact that whoever it is went down the comment chain to reply to you instead of just those who took the bait points to 1 or 3.
And rather than even attempting to discover what was at the root of this tragedy, angsty kids wearing black were harassed. Reexamine gun laws and build a more robust mental health network? Hell no! Make sure them outcasts feel it every fucking second.

I don’t really do it anymore because I’m a middle aged dude who can’t give a shit about anyone else’s opinion. But I remember what it was like being a teenager who was weird even by teenager standards at a time when being different was not celebrated. I recommend against doing everything I did to protect myself but euphemisms for my hobbies are one I can absolutely recommend.
A lot of games have great music. Instead of calling it video game music, which absolutely invites people to say stupid shit, just say you generally listen to atmospheric soundtracks.
Growing up in small town east Texas taught me to create euphemisms for all kinds of fun shit.

I get it. We played Fitzgerald’s a lot for the last few years before it closed. My buddy was sitting in the lighting booth watching the last show.
I don’t think there’s anything that’s going to capture that vibe anymore. BFE is cool. Numbers, for whatever reason, was never really my scene. I’ve played there but I don’t go out of my way to do it. Even The Farm isn’t really what it used to be. I wish I could remember what the name of it was before because we played there a lot too. Wildcatters out in Katy is pretty cool on the right night. Brash has the arcade. Karbach usually has something cool going on (I’ve got a friend over there right now). But none of that is like what Fitzgerald’s was back in the 00s (I was too young and hours away in the 90s, then I left for the military).
But you know what they say. You can never go home.
There are some cool places closer in but I try to avoid heading that way. We played White Oak Music Hall recently and it’s pretty neat. Fitzgerald’s closed a few years back and that place was amazing. On the other side of town is House of Blues which is always a good time.
I like The Farm and BFE, but those are two completely different vibes. I miss Acadia so much. That was my favorite place to be but they closed down last year.
I’m actually very happy with both, I just like to talk shit.
Just to answer the question, tonight I was with a hard rock band. We did our thing then got hammered again.
My therapist just asks if I drank less than last week. Then we have a staring contest for 26 minutes.
I got a coach at the gym and we do the same thing.
Now I need to figure out which one to fire because that’s almost an hour of me not admitting shit. I only really need it from one of them.

Naw, I work remote, the HEB is walking distance, and if I’m on the motorcycle I’m headed the other way out of town. The only time I have to deal with it is when I’m playing a gig headed into town while everyone else is driving the other way.
