  • Terrorism, according to the United Nations General Assembly:

Criminal acts intended or calculated to provoke a state of terror in the general public, a group of persons or particular persons for political purposes are in any circumstance unjustifiable, whatever the considerations of a political, philosophical, ideological, racial, ethnic, religious or any other nature that may be invoked to justify them.

Luigi certainly didn’t bring the public into a state of terror, if anything quite the opposite - so I suppose the real question is do we class Health Insurance Executives politically as a group of people to incite terror onto?

I’d argue that a group of people who would happily sign away someone’s life if it meant them getting richer don’t deserve that kind of recognition, but I’d bet the courts will say yes because their rich friends want an example made of him.

  • Unless Anon is willing to put in some serious work, like properly going back to school or busting their ass learning (and getting good at) a trade, then their life is kinda fucked.

You can’t just crawl out of almost 20 years of NEETing into really any kind of job, especially without the charisma to at least try masking it.

Also fuck knows why Anon’s parents just let them drop out of school and basically cease to exist outside of playing videogames for best part of two decades. That’s plain bad parenting.

  • Man, you ain’t gotta be rude.

I meant the article I linked to the Thalidomide scandal. I was surprised that chirality wasn’t mentioned even once in the wiki article about it causing birth defects, considering it’s chirality was a key factor in that scandal.

I know it wouldn’t be in the OP article because they’re only minorly related instances, but my point was tjat we already know what mirroring even a simple compound can do to living things, nevermind complex proteins and entire organisms.

And IMO, using arguably the single most widely known instance of mirror chemicals gone wrong to make that point is perfectly valid.

Yes, but like any tool, if there’s no safeguards, it will could do unimaginable damage (which is also why I used Thalidomide as an example, as it inspired literally tonnes of safeguards post-scandel). Like GMOs can be dangerous as is, but at least in most instances it’s only the living organism itself that’s dangerous. With mirroring, any part of that organism could be dangerous to normal lifeforms, so even sterilised mirror waste could be dangerous

  • It’s such a garbage argument when you can just counter with “okay then, release software which allows the public to run them for themselves”.

There are plenty of famous games, including Minecraft (only the most famous game in history) that manage to do that just fine. Acting like it’s impossible just so that you can force people to buy the next game is bullshit.
