So what’s 0 do then? I’m okay with wacky indexes (I’ve used something with negative indexes for a end-index shorthand) but 0 has to mean something that’s actually useful. Using the index as the offset into the array seems to be the most useful way to index them.

How fancy we talking? The most my fancy IDE tools extend to is like creating functions for me or creating a loop and junk like that. It’s not writing any of my code more than autocorrect is writing an essay for me.

Okay so say your testing a brand new rocket engine idea. It uses a fuel nobody has tried to use before. So what you do is you figure out how much energy this fuel has and do some math to figure out how much you’ll need to take with you for the typical rocket. You design an engine for this spec or better and thoroughly test it to make sure it’s behaving like expected. You eventually mount it to a rocket and make sure in practice it behaves as you expect. Next you put a payload in the rocket and test it again. If at any point things don’t behave as expected you have to fix your whole model.

SpaceX struggles to go a launch without their engines destroying themselves. Perhaps they should go back a few steps?

It’s also expected, that’s how separate populations of a species tend to behave. See things such as hair color, eye color, ability to digest lactose far into adulthood ect. While I’m not nonverbal I also broke my femur as a child, in specific I was around 6-7. Father ignored my cries of pain for probably around half an hour to an hour (I “saw” the sun jump in the sky) before eventually getting fed up with me. He roughly picked me up, tossed me over his shoulder (again ignoring my cries of pain), took me into the house and more or less thew me onto the floor. Walked off all pisses and my mom came in to see why I was so… distressed. My leg was about twice as large as normal, I was going/well into shock. Ambulance and whatnot got called, the Fire dudes showed up, gave me some sort of shot and awhile later the Ambulance dudes eventually showed up. Dad rode with me to the hospital and to keep things short he felt pretty terrible about himself for good reason.

Course that experience didn’t prevent him from being abusive later on but I can understand why he initially chose to ignore me, I was and still am rather emotional. Same kind of deal with this poor kid. I can understand ignoring at first, but there comes a point, hopefully quite quickly that you check in and see if things are alright. I push fuckn carts and I check in with old people all the time. Quite often they are just old and are being weird staring into space, looking confused whatever old people get up to but occasionally they need help and I’m glad to have asked. If your job is to take care of kids with special needs you should be very aware of their typical behavior and check in when there’s something off. Doubly so when there’s any sort of communication difficulties christ

You have significantly more pleasent migrations when you use a custom launcher. Far as settings go Samsung S7 -> OnePlus 8 from what I recall got most of the settings I cared about. Notification settings for example, even app overrides

Act works out pretty good but you need to pass it a token and stuff so the actual github CLI bits can work which is kind of a hassle. It took me much too long to discover you need a classic token, the one from the github CLI app gh auth token won’t work.

Edit: Ah! Also getting act setup involved getting docker setup which involved me enabling virtualization in my bios for what I swear is like the 4th time I’ve done so. Also because I’m on Windows (iirc at least) I had to setup WSL or just make a windows container ಠ_ಠ
