It’s not a great deal for the libraries. They ebooks can come with a limited number of checkouts and cost far more.
I switched to Kobo and have been very happy so far. I was able to download my books from Amazon and mumble and then I was able to read them on my Kobo device and store them in my Calibre library.
I was at an event years ago and had the chance to talk with one of the engineers that worked on the Model X. I mentioned the QA and reliability issues with the falcon doors. He took offense to me bringing up that there were issues with the car. Dude. You’re not a good engineer if you look at the product and think it’s perfect. There will ALWAYS be something more to improve upon. If you take feedback poorly, you are refusing the help of others to improve.
Like mDNS?
Add on this change in policy in Taiwan and the value of the island for latest generation chip production changes too. https://wccftech.com/tsmc-might-have-secured-taiwans-approval-to-make-advanced-2nm-chips-in-us/
It’s poor design on Nvidias part. There is no load balancing.
Proxmox can be a bit of a bear to setup. The documentation is not very approachable for new users. It uses a lot of terms without definition which is a deadly sin of technical writing IMO. Guides for getting an Ubuntu Server VM setup vary wildly and often recommend outdated settings.
I’m totally on board with using it though. It eliminates the need to start from scratch when migrating to newer hardware.
Set up your favorite Linux server distro and then go ham on setting up docker (dockge is a great tool to introduce compose).
Assuming your mean in the US. Depends on the state.
That’s what the people living in Dallas said. Then a tornado hit the middle of a dense neighborhood.
Then you ask questions about what the past person could possibly have been thinking. You wonder what logic path brought them to create the code this way. You check git blame. It was you.
Today it decided to not mark messages read after I had opened them.
PARTIALLY!? The Vision shipped without a lens cover. It did ship with a cover for the outside face.
I went looking but couldn’t find a reference. US Air Force Plant 4 in Fort Worth (where the F-35 is assembled) was at one point the longest length building without internal support columns. I’ve been told that there is a twin building somewhere else, but the one in Texas is 25 feet longer. I just can’t find a source with the number!
I used that so much when I was creating purchase orders. Nobody needs to know how I got to that page.
Not from a bar directly, but on the walk back from the bars. I picked up a brick paver. They had just finished laying everything down in the courtyard of a new building and there was 1 brick sitting there. I looked for spot to drop that brick into close by, but I didn’t see a spot. So I carried it home!
My fluids professor told us about that when someone asked why do we have wood on the material roughness tables. No one believed him so he brought in a small section of a wood pipe he took from a construction site.
Manheim Steamroller put out a Summer Song album that has some great rain sounds with relaxing music.
That’s because California (like the majority of other states) assigns all of their EC votes to the winner of the popular vote within state. Only Nebraska and Maine split their delegates right now.
The popular vote compact is not in effect yet. They don’t have the 270 votes needed to do it. The last sentence of the first paragraph in the Wikipedia article you linked to says so.
Oh shit there are! Wow! /s
If one of them could get to the 5% popular vote…yada yada. Yeah I know. 2016 was the closest they got in a long time. I voted 3rd party then because I’m in a deeply red state so it wasn’t a throw away vote or preventing the Dems from winning. They didn’t get there. I’m am very convinced at this point you must fix the voting system before 3rd parties have any viability. FPTP is outdated at this point and the added layer of the EC is doing more harm than good now. It was a good idea for a different time, but today is different and the system should evolve. RCV/IRV has shown very clear benefits to enable more than 2 options to be viable on a ballot.
I keep a Win10 VM kicking for things like this. Sure I could probably do it with Wine, but sometimes I just take the easy route.
