Reminder that while these tariffs are the big news item, focus extremely hard on what isn’t being today. Work within your communities and harass the fuck out of your politicians, Republican AND Democrat. Maintenance will be the word for at least two years.

Yeah… it’s hard. If it wasn’t for my student loans I’d only have about $4000 in leftover reoccurring bills outside of the usual living expenses such as rent and utilities today. Back then I donated more to a campaign than I have donated before or since combined for anything I worked hard. Talked to everyone. Helped found a subreddit for election and voting protection through information. I even went to local watch parties.

I think we are ready for that again. Many of us would stand and fight with Bernie, Jon Stewart, AOC. Most of us who were a part of that understand why people chose to not vote for the status quo. But man, fuck, it’s tiring feeling so disjointed and at best loosely aligned.

We need a community.

That’s the thing: She was doing fine initially. Not even when you measured her up against Biden, just in general. She came out verbally lashing Trump and challenging everything he and his cronies tried to do. She did exactly what I was hoping she’d do and lean on her experience in law and not tried to be charismatic.

What I suspect happened is she was pulled aside and told it wouldn’t work. Chances are she was made to bend and rather than leverage her position she did bend. Or perhaps she was convinced to do so, I don’t know. After Bernie in 2016 I don’t trust the Dems at all when it comes to elections. Not in the sense of corrupt votes or whatever, in that they’d choose a losing candidate or choose to lose over having to admit they need to step aside and let the energy flow.

She’d had done fine if she did three things:

1. Continued the initial push of laying her foot into the collective asses of the MAGA collective. That first month or so was great and Dems needed that energy.

2. Gone against Biden and condemned the situation in Gaza AND remind everyone that Ukraine is still going.

3. Not listened to the idiot Dem “strategists” who seem so fucking convinced that courting modern Conservatives is a good idea.

Had she done these three things and even the shit communications of the Dems could not have stopped the word of mouth and internet celebrity status she would have had.

I’d step back onto the streets with Bernie at the head again. A small part of me still holds that hope from 2016.

Starting to get that Stain treatment, I see. I was wondering how long it would take urban activists and the like.

About six years ago on Reddit I asked “Why can we not do this thing??” and the response was “because the money will not like you”.

I dunno, guys, seems like we should start wielding the old chaos flames.

So I’m not into firearms. Guns aren’t reaaally my thing. However, I imagine with quality material you need a larger silencer for a larger caliber, or a modified design to rapidly reduce pressure. It stands to reason then that with a design less capable of withstanding that pressure, you must then compensate with a larger design even at lower calibers. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, though this then stands to reason that even a .22 would need a much larger design, or a modified design which would by nature increase noise via gas release.

That said, a silencer doesn’t silence, it reduces. If he was as prepared as we think he was, he’d know that.

I was suspicious the instant they called out the 3D printed “ghost gun”. While certainly possible, it was waaay too convenient an excuse given how that may have swung some opinions about gun safety and control. Now they’re rushing this.

Keep an eye out for thinly veiled attempts at obfuscation.

It will always be this way because people have opinions and perspectives. The two best ways to lessen infighting is by having a simple and common end goal. The second is a leader. Find both of these and I guarantee people will follow.

It’s always been that way and will always be that way. The point isn’t to stop the infighting entirely, it’s to work in such ways as to reduce the impact it has on the goals we should be striving to achieve. Namely a better world for everyone.

And here we see a wild idiot attempt to defend his territory from what he believes are those attempting to encroach and settle. This young user will sit upon his rock making sharp noises and gesticulating wildly, hoping that it will intimidate the other males. Notice though once challenged, its noises become frantic and though it draws in air to become larger, the older more experienced members of its species see the bluff. This reduces its chances of finding a mate significantly.

This is similar shit I pull in strategy games. Nevermind sending out armies, imma undermine their economy, kill their morale, and convert their officers. Only then would I, if this fails, consider sending in troops.

We live in an age of unprecedented information exchange. Boots on the ground isn’t how war is fought anymore.

I don’t disagree with why, I do disagree with the timing. Yes, it was a hardline issue and yes the Dems should have absolutely done whatever they could to deal with it. What I cannot and will never forgive is risking the fucking planet by placing a very likely dictator into the seat of global military superiority. Fucking vote Harris in and then we have four years of dropkicking every politician we see to deal with it.

Now there is every chance that conflict will worsen, or end abruptly.

Four years to work together and make positive change by not constantly bickering. Instead we have several States and governers vouching to protect our rights and your fucking neighbors against the President and his cronies.

Gaza AND Ukraine are important. We should do what we can do. Fucking Trump though and his evil passing posse of terrible twats?? Come the fuck on. That was NOT the correct direction, my dude. Four god damned years and instead you all chose January.

Eh, he’s been pretty good over all. We’ve had better, though the list of worse Presidents is a bit longer. Over all, Joe did step up and get more done than expected for what felt like a forced square into a round hole situation. What he might not have done was solve YOUR issues.

The issue wasn’t his full term. The issue became his last handful of months and the absolute atrocity that is the DNC communication strategy.

I said months ago that Biden and the larger Democratic party needed to come out swinging. I doubled down after Biden’s lackluster debate. When Harris hit the ground sprinting I was actually happy. Then some traditional democratic strategic asshat convinced her to simmer down and take a risky route that would only have worked 25 years ago.

Step up, Dems. We’ve gone from cushy NFL offsides to NFL Blitz and you’re waaay behind.
