The Adidas the dude on the left has on is showing a style of outsole that, while could be found in the early and mid '50s, wasn’t mass-produced until 1959 or even 1960. He’d have to have been an Adidas rep or known someone really high up in the company. And frankly I doubt that is the case here. He would have to have either been living in Germany or close to someone that was. And if the later is the case, international shipping would have been rather difficult. And while I’m not decrying his stylistic choices of dress, I am skeptical that a high ranking Adidas professional would have been accepted if this were the look they came to work with.
