They have a sheriff’s office I bet, they are bad enough. I love in a small town and the cops are the worst. They don’t do anything helpful, they swagger around dressed like they are in a war zone, and local businesses feel pressured to give them free stuff all the time. Free meals, drinks, let them cut in line, so annoying.
Trump voters in my area of the country are still extremely happy with what Trump and Musk are doing. When Trump eventually invests all of social security in his meme coin they will probably be thrilled with that too.
While a good series without a doubt, it suffers from the tradition of each book being about “100 pages too long” and in need of editing. It would be interesting to see if a newer LLM could do that in a way that would make it a tighter story.

Part of his drive into politics is because of so number of lawsuits against him about working conditions.
But he’ll put many more people out of work than just work for Tesla. Just USAID he’s out basically 10k people out of work domestically, who knows how many thousands of people overseas.

Thiel had the board of Paypal vote to boot Musk out of the company while Musk was on his honeymoon. I can only hope something similar could happen while he is in DC sleeping at the foot of Trump’s bed.
Think of the relationship as a CEO and the chairman of the board, this is the way Trump sees it. The CEO is front and center but does the bidding of the chairman.

If SSN based fraud is the program then let’s establish an actual federal identification number. Even the Social Services bureau tried to get everyone to not use it as the end all source of truth. They only created it for social security benefits, literally only that purpose.

The only thing that seems to get to Trump is when he has a press conference and they just keep asking him about things Musk is doing.
I mean it seems more because Biden’s administration was hugely pro-Israel and consistently the destruction of Gaza and the death of Palestinians, and Harris started plainly her policy was the same. Harris ran on a campaign of telling parts of the left that they didn’t want their vote and courted mythical moderate Republicans.
And I voted for Harris, but this was by far a loss due to the Democrats abandonment of their base and what polling clearly showed people wanted change, irrational or not, just something different. Running on a same-as-Biden platform was a massive blunder.
I disagree there, they are still breaking laws, like what Musk is doing at Treasury, but there is no one enforcing the law. No one (Founding Fathers) accounted for Congress and the Supreme Court being so captured that they would do nothing to threats like this.
That is a huge difference from Nixon. His own party turned against him quickly when the evidence showed the illegal actions were connected to him directly. The modem Republicans never will do that to Trump or things he commands.

Musk is himself a giant government contractor via Space X and Starlink. Odds are he’s just trying to clear the board to funnel the money to his businesses. Especially when it comes to defense money!
All of my data got breached multiple times going back to the dot-com bubble days, by Yahoo, the original 2015 OPM Beach and by two of the big credit bureaus for a start. If Musk has my social at this point it doesn’t matter.
