Trump’s second term: literally too confusing, too extreme
Hi, it me.
Trump’s second term: literally too confusing, too extreme
I just want Gnome without all the faff of Arch. Do I want too much? Dx
It’s ok, we have a great lawyer.
I’ll admit that I was in that position, once. The difference is that when I did it I voted for McCain, not a failed actor and businessman with a clear plan to tear apart our democracy.
It’s great that people are waking up to this, but the damage is done. We’re going to all have to fight tooth and nail to stop and undo the damage, if we can at all. Hang on to your butts, people.
So, I was only able to find data on federal prisons, but as of 2024 there have been a grand total of… Two, two prisoners given gender affirming surgery.
One of the amazing crises the US is fabricating.
Yeah, no, they won’t give two shits. They’d all happily be Putin’s lapdog. They find his leadership inspiring.
I’ve really been struggling with seeing everything and just, at the end of the day, there’s nothing I can do. I will continue to vote and donate and protest, but… I really don’t think it matters anymore. The system is so out of whack, so built on trusting people in certain positions to act in a certain way, that when people don’t there’s no real guardrails to stop it. Maybe I’ve just grown nihilistic, but… Sure seems like we’re fucked.
Turns out reading speed and retention is better with dark text on a light background. I always use automatic switching when available… Light during the day and dark at night.
Unless it’s my code editor, if someone switches my code editor to light mode I’ll murder them.
That is what I’ve heard. Like digital painting and stuff.
Haven’t used Facebook in probably a decade, but as a photographer Instagram is still the most active platform I’ve tried. Vero is weird. PixelFed is pretty empty, mostly people’s snapshots. Others either cost money or aren’t really good on mobile.
I genuinely spend too much time on that site, but I haven’t seen an ad in years. If that changes, then I guess I’ll have to change, too.
Fear of the defendant should not influence sentencing. That said, pretty minimal chance of jail time for this. Two-tier system and all that.
This was the plus side for me, too. I couldn’t care less who sees what I post on social media, but (so far) at least my information here isn’t harvested to target ads to me. In fact, I had gotten so used to seeing ads on Reddit and Twitter that I was numb to it. After a year+ here, when I go back to check on those, it’s all I notice and it’s terrible.
If they said that they went “back” to Windows, why would you assume a MacBook?
On the other hand, I didn’t sign up for Prime but have had it for 2 months now. Have yet to be charged and I can’t access the page to cancel it.
I love that I can basically test for Safari on Linux using GNOME Web.
Clipboard management on iOS. At least I can get Maccy on macOS, but on iOS I’m just stuck to suffer through copy/paste hell.
That last part is important, because our emergency responders have gotten very good at saving lives (sadly, they've had to). People will point to deaths as the only relevant stat–and it's amazing that isn't enough for some people–but it's a huge burden and cost for healthcare.
Yeah, I’m hoping the next iPad Mini will support this. At that point I would happily replace my laptop with it.
That said, I’d probably miss the full-size keyboard cases of its larger siblings. The iPad lineup never makes choosing one easy haha
It’s a feature, not a bug.
