No.
No.
Miss me with that stock photo dry ass looking sandwich
I’m basic. Been using namecheap+privateemail for years and no complaints. Mostly through the clients Thunderbird on desktop of FairMail on mobile.
I’m surprised. I haven’t had a website not work with Firefox for a long time. I haven’t even had to install chromium as a backup in almost two years now.
Fuckin hell what a tool.
We used to think so highly of him when we were kids.
What???
I’m not trying to be glib, but read this. You don’t fix big, systemic problems by working only within the system.
We also didn’t rely on the internet as much as a resource. Like of course you would do some of your research online, but if you were really working on something serious, you went to the library!
Yeah the internet now is so much nicer. And I don’t just mean the corporate spaces with the edges sanded off, but the indie web, fediverse, and random forums. There used to be this incredibly toxic masculinity that crept into everything.
A lot of us have also grown up. I know because I’m still in a forum with people I’ve known online from 20+ years ago, where we used to post the most heinous, edgy shit.
Look up “indie web” and just start clicking links until you see URLs you’ve never heard of before.
Congrats, you’re surfing the web. Let us know if you find anything cool.
That’s a totally reasonable number!
Also, just an FYI you can use nginx as to serve multiple domains/websites from a single server on the cheap. ;)
Oh nice. What kind of ‘indie stuff’ are you making?
So far, it’s just my morning pages. I figure if I share my most raw and unfinished stuff, then it will be mentally easier to share the stuff I actually put polish into.
I have this server running an Quartz frontend, that I can just push markdown files to. But yeah, that’ll probably move to a subdomain, and the main site will be wacky neocities type stuff, idk. Something rough and fun, though.
God, what a bright, glorious day that would be.
C’mon United States, do the anti-trust thing! You used to be so good at it!
Can’t believe no one’s suggested Nietzsche (Zarathustra, etc). Maybe no longer in vogue now that sincerity is on the rise, though.
Gotta start with Titus Groan! Just skip the forword that was added most recently though.
I bought a new domain name for my indie web presence, so that I can keep my boring professional stuff separate.
Yeah! I thought the movie did a great job making sense of the recurring archetypes/ characters. Okay we’re friends now
