you folks are still scrimbling? hacker news says you can get much better results if you dronkle instead. in fact, you don’t even have to worry about your implementation, just use the kneeb.io api for all of your dronkling (and scrimbling i guess via their legacy api deprecated last month). they just got seed funding and they reinvested that into their infrastructure. this is a no brainer!

sadly it looks like the number of platforms you can sign into are really limited. would be nice if they let you specify an instance. a good start, nonetheless.
Rose colored glasses. I played the hell out of WoW for years from first release and onward. Chat was chaos and if you got invited to someone’s vent server there were usually some jerks. Pseudoanonymity made people brazen.
I played a lot of competitive counter strike and it was the same. Constant trash talking or just nonsense spouting people. Any modern game I play with voice chat built in gets immediately disabled as soon as I start the game for the first time.
Socializing can happen later after a few (positive) interactions but I dont have the mental energy to deal with random folks when I just want to unwind with a game.
that’s good to know! a friend gave it to me somewhat randomly as they already have a stable of printers and were clearing space.
my only issue with it so far (other than lacking information) is that the prusa software itself doesn’t seem to support this model any longer. i did see some bits about “upgrade” kits for it to make it a MK2 on the prusa site but i think i’ll learn the ropes with it as is before i jump into anything like that.

i did look through those parts before posting here and couldn’t find one that matched. i also don’t know what it’s called so i’m not completely sure what i’m looking for.
this is great. i didn’t realize there was a forum, so i’ll probably browse that a bit. i didn’t see the part listed in those printable parts but i also don’t know what it’s actually called.
EDIT: on a second look, that might actually be the 5015 housing but it also looks like perhaps the part it screws onto is broken as well (hence the zip ties). i suppose i’ll be repairing more than i thought.

why does it matter when the disc for a game is now basically just a download code? the studios have already won this battle.

I think the elite offers a lot for that price. Swappable sticks and back paddles, trigger stops, multiple profiles, adjustable tension, etc. It’s basically an OEM “custom” controller.
That being said, I like other controllers better than my elite.
I’ve been enjoying the GameSir G7 for a while. It’s wired but I kind of prefer that. My first G7 had a faulty left stick in the first two months. I think it was faulty from the beginning but I just didn’t notice it. I sent them a video of the issue and they replaced it outright.
It’s a bit smaller than my Xbox elite controller and it feels pretty great. I like the clicky dpad and the two back buttons. Stick tension is nice as well.
I’d like to see trigger stops but they haven’t done that yet. I’d also like to have clicky face buttons so I’m considering one of their khaleid controllers. Those are minor nitpicks, though. This controller has been terrific.
read.write.as shows posts from users on that platform. maybe a good place to start looking. at any rate, it’s pretty ad-hoc and manual because, while it federates, you’re not going to see activity other than posting.
