There is no kompramat that’s been proven,
i.e there may be kompramat but we do not know. Likely we will never know. However, we do know Trump is for sale to the highest bidder.
Great writeup!
I understand you feel that way. I agree that the market would be more stable, ICE would not be doing mass deportations, Musk wouldn’t be the idiotic agent of chaos destroying needed programs, and things as a whole would be better if Harris were in office. However the DNC dropped the ball.
Either way you need to be upset at the DNC. It’s their job to get the vote and package the candidates and start outreach. That did not happen in 2024.

Edit: Kamala did nothing to whip up votes in the Senate, where the VP holds considerable sway, especially with a Democratic majority, to pass a bill about price gouging and corporate greed. It was a measured campaign trail response to Trump and the right bleeting about gasoline prices and food prices…that increased during Trump’s last presidency. If they cared they wouldn’t have kept saying GDP is good so you must be good. They would’ve passed something. They didn’t.

So now under Trump we have skyrocketing prices again. And due to Musk’s influence in the cabinet we’re barreling towards a recession again.

Yes and, better candidates get more voters. The DNC did not address rising costs when they had the most power to do so. They didn’t run primaries even though a very unpopular incumbent was not doing well in press conferences months before the debates. Then when they did offer up another candidate they did not differentiate themselves from the unpopular policies of the incumbent.
It was so frustrating to watch.
Wanna build bunk beds? You can have top bunk. Mom still has me with rubber sheets.
Oh yeah, that was such a fucked up operation. I’m surprised the Secret Service weren’t completely reformed over that. The president almost died!
JFC I didn’t even get the joke the first time around. H. Ford is too close to G. Ford for my poor addled brain.
This is the difference between the DNC and the GOP. Both parties know that the PeePee tapes exist and are fake, however the GOP would have released them in 2017 regardless of if they were real or not. Much like the trumping up of Hillary’s email server and Bengazi. It’s not about what’s true or real anymore. It’s about public sentiment. That’s how Russian and Chinese misinformation are so successful here. We’ve defunded our schools and have people struggling so much to make ends meet they cannot take the time off to vote, and when they do vote they’re often not really looking at anything else than how much groceries and gasoline cost. Which pointedly, the Executive branch has little control over.
We’ve been fucked since Reagan. John Hinckly Jr. frankly should have had more firearms training.
Death Cult gonna Death Cult
All gun control in the past has been to disarm marginalized populations and put ownership behind a paywall and within a national registry. I don’t think they’ll ban gun ownership for everyone, however I foresee ownership to be much more stringently controlled and for tax stamps to increase. Making it so that the majority of guns are still owned and operated by white middle to upperclass men, or private security and law enforcement that serve the wealthy to protect property and the current power structure as it stands.

I thought it was more of a wink and a nod back then as the Stickies and Provos were still divying up members. I didn’t live during the troubles so I can’t really say with any authority tho. I’ll definitely do more reading on it, thanks for the context.
I’d be surprised if there aren’t massive changes to gun laws in the next 2 years and a giant restructure of the military in the next 3 so that Trump or one of his cronies can still be in power in 5…
Exactly, fascists give zero fucks about public sentiment once they’re in power. All they need to do is control the media and polls will align with their goals again. Case in point is the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico

Edit as things are moving very fast.
Here’s an even more boldfaced attempt at controlling the media. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/fox-news-newsmax-oppose-trump-ap-ban_n_67b85283e4b05145b9c53cce
I’d love for you to post some non lazy sources.
There is no kompramat that’s been proven, however Trump is very happy to take Russian money to further Russian interests. It’s the same with the Saudis and Israelis. The US government is for sale.

Sinn Fein does have a storied past, and they’re still two completely different parties in Northern Ireland and Ireland respectively.
Fair enough, like I said the point I made was pedantic. Your points stand regardless of if it’s called WW3 or anything else.
To be honest and a bit pedantic, it’s a continuation of the cold war. There has been no 3rd world war and likely as not due to; Russia’s complete mishandling of their nuclear arsenal and China’s economic interests, there is little threat of one. The US intelligence departments know this. And with Gabbard as the DNI Chief I’m pretty sure Russia has a finger on the pulse of what we will know. There are rumblings of compartmentalization efforts in the Intelligence communities and there are rumors of rogue efforts to keep sensitive intel within the DOD and subsequent cells and away from the DNI and the Executive branch. We’re living in absolutely insane times and the US Hegemony is at it’s most vulnerable now. I am not for US Hegemony in the general sense and I do not think that it is the only stabilizing force in world politics. But when a power vacuum forms, it’s rare that stability follows in the short term.
If there were ever a time for a general strike to depose and defang the executive branch it is now. However, I don’t see the general US populace doing anything on behalf of Ukraine or to further the Hegemony.
With what Musk is allowing DOGE to do we’re headed for another great recession. Maybe that will be the inciting event to have a revolution. But I just don’t know. The Constitution setup the branches of the government in such a naive way. There are no true checks and balances, just gentleman’s agreements to “behave in the best interests of the country”. To wit, the Constitution was designed to be a living document to be amended and changed to fit the current society it governs, but this has not been the case. Impeachment does nothing, we have a convicted felon in the White House and a foreign born national directing policy. These are uncharted waters but I don’t think anything short of a general strike will change anything.
What did the German Citizenship do in 1934? Because they voted in 1932 to make the Nazi party the largest single party in the Reichstag and for the next 2 years they had no input on the machinations of Hitler to become a dictator. Any of that sound familiar?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Hitler's_rise_to_power
The speed at which the German government was dismantled was extreme. In less than 45 days after Hindenburg died, Hitler was a dictator. DOGE and Trump are making much of the same changes to our government. Fascist or Monarchist or Oligarchy or Kleptocracy, it doesn’t matter. Our government is currently being dismantled at a rate at which our institutions have never seen before.

Polls don’t matter once they’re in power. The only thing that’s going to stop this is large unified action at the local level and probably a general strike. Both of which take time to organize and to do so in an encrypted and secure way. That takes time. We’re years away.
