Reminds me of this time I saw a bunch of geese by the road. One was going to cross, and another goose grabbed it and pulled it back because there were cars coming.

I had the same thought about the fact they could have flown and avoided the whole street crossing fiasco in the first place.

We have food trucks where I am that serve cuisines other than Mexican food, even though Mexican is by and large the dominant food truck type I encounter.

I’ve seen vegan food, macaroni, southern United States cuisine, pizza, and African cuisine. In larger cities, I’ve heard of stuff like a grilled cheese truck. They are out there! But now I would be happy to see a Chinese food truck or a Vietnamese food truck.

I like calls. Messages are nice for simple and quick communication, but for anything more complex calls are easier.

I appreciate when the other person asks because I will sometimes tell them, if now is not a good time, when. Usually in like 10 or so minutes so I can wrap up whatever I’m doing.

I have always liked the concept of Facebook Marketplace, but the fact it was a Meta product made me not use it. The unfortunate side effect to Facebook Marketplace taking off was that Craigslist got a lot less listings. LetGo was pretty good for a while but OfferUp bought them and I haven’t found any alternative quite as good since.

Doubly frustrating since Facebook is also the hub for many Buy Nothing groups. Oh well.

I never thought to look it up (since I don’t use Instagram) but there is a way to set up a shop in Instagram and THAT is where Meta gets their cut.

All these years, I thought it was like some sort of Craigslist deal where people would advertise there but deal with payments in other ways. Oops.

Ah, I didn’t realize that was part of the difficulty. I haven’t been there in years, but the fact I could have it exactly the way I want was a plus in my mind.

From what I’ve seen, Instagram. I’ve never bought anything from Instagram so I’m not sure if it’s a built-in function, or if they use something like messaging and Venmo.

Doesn’t the person behind the counter at Subway prepare your sandwich? You don’t need to assemble, toast, or cut the sandwich yourself.

Agreed 100%. If it wasn’t clear, I was posting from the perspective of the 4channer as if they tried sex work, where they discover it is actually a lot more involved than they thought.
