I think Signal is against that because it compromises their security model. Also I think they aren't required by law to implement it but I'm not sure.
Try flashing GrapheneOS if you're comfortable with it?
You might like ViMusic. It is a 3rd party client for YT music. I started using it recently and really liked the UI.
Elden Ring looks beautiful. You just need to get used to fighting a boss 100+ times before killing him ;_;
Horizon series is good. The 2nd game, Forbidden West is so good I used to open the photo mode at random spots and take pictures because I found the scenery beautiful. I would definitely recommend it.
Ghost of Tsushima is also beautiful. However I got bored pretty quickly but others have enjoyed the game so maybe you’ll like it.
Also Skyrim with mods (like ENB) can be beautiful as well :p
You could say Russian landing was more impactful and groundbreaking
Why was it allowed in the first place? Generally I’m pro freedom but in this case the phones should be locked down and there should be a whitelist of apps they can install. It’s not a personal phone.
I have major issues with this game’s battling system. The original game’s combat is pretty complex but it is well balanced with 6 different stats, types, abilities, etc. Pokemon go simplifies it into type advantages and a number (CP). CP is more affected by atk than def and hp. This (amongst other things) trivializes def and hp stats.
I was hopeful that they would rework this with pvp but they didn’t. Instead they tried to copy the Smogon tiers (the different leagues) but somehow made the original combat which requires a lot of strategy to a dumb tap fast to win combat.
I used to play Pokemon Go a lot till covid and I kept hoping for better updates and new mechanics (I even theorized how they could translate the turn based combat to real time) but it seemwd they didn’t want to make it anymore than what it was so I quit.
Worse. You can’t turn it off :/
I don’t follow politics but yes I do use a RSS reader. Also you suggested US centric stuff and I don’t live there.
But yeah I get your point
Maybe I need to expand the pool of sites I frequent. Any recommendations?
I think you are confusing soulless with dead. It’s more alive than ever yes but it has become monotonous. The original feeling of individuality of websites has been reduced to the monotonity you see when you visit different websites. For example, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram or even their federated alternatives like Mastodon and Lemmy (I haven’t used Pixelfed) are designed in a similar way to that users feel familiar and don’t get turned off from using the website. This is just one example I can think of now.
Lol makes sense
I would add Digilocker as well. Completed removed my need for a wallet. But it’s not as great as these 2
UPI is the best mode of payment. I doubt anyone can change my mind.
You should read about EU’s proposed law DMA. It aims to solve this problem of not being able to contact friends if you uninstall WhatsApp (or any other app). The link explains it better lol
I agree with most of your points. Just wanted to point out that for MS games Linux compatibility is not planned. Not saying that other studios are supporting Linux, very few are but I wanted say that MS is Windows friendly not PC friendly.
All MS first party games are on PC because MS owns the PC ecosystem. Not because MS is friendlier💀
tar --help
is a valid command :p
