You can do it with videos that’s under the CC license.
I have myself setup a mirror of the official Guild Wars 2 channel, so I can watch their videos on PeerTube. I haven’t asked, but I don’t think they have a problem with the free advertisement.
Best people can do is convince creators on YouTube to also post their content to PeerTube, as well as engage with their audience on PeerTube.
My iPhone mini.
I didn’t make it! It was @[email protected]
What can they use that data for?
It would only be usable data if they could show personalized ads to the users. They can’t.
All they know is that Meldrik up/downvoted this and that, but outside of Lemmy they have no idea who Meldrik is.
There’s not the same amount of content as YT, but have a look at the pinned post in this community about channels to follow: [email protected]
It has been working for me since 0.19.8.
Why would Netflix be against that? It’s free advertisement for them.
I don’t get Mint. I use Mint, btw.
No, but it looks a lot like Voyager. Downloading it now to check it out.
Pretty much, yes. Images is cached. Video is not. However PeerTube supports P2P.
I’m doing software transcoding with the 5600G. I have not been able to get VAAPI to work yet.
I posted this issue on the Github page for the plugin that should enable VAAPI transcoding: https://github.com/TheoLeCalvar/peertube-plugin-hardware-transcode-vaapi/issues/3
The transcoding starts just fine, but fails at around 90% done and throw the error message I posted in the issue.
But still, anyone coming from Reddit is going to 100% say it feels shoddy.
I didn’t 😎
Where are you getting errors in your feeds? A specific app? Never had issues on Lemmy with Voyager or the website.
I would say right up to about Windows 7. Then the enshittification started.
BTW, I have no idea how to spell enshittification.
Well that’s just a waste of time really.
I don’t think that’s what the person on Reddit is referring to, but judging people by their choice of instance is dumb.
Why is “drama” on Lemmy always highly exaggerated by people?
“Endless wars of who federates with who”. What is that person even talking about and who the fuck would even care as a normal user?
Voyager on iOS. It’s the best for my use case and I like the UI the most.
Waiting for their Docker image.
