In Nottingham, UK they made it so companies have to pay for every parking space per year over a certain amount, and that money gets invested in public transport. Over time congestion has grown much slower in Nottingham than similar cities, I’m amazed that more cities don’t do the same.

Sold my car, eat a plant based diet, talk to people about climate change and what they can do, change pensions, investments etc. to greener banks. I agree, they need to be kept in check. It’s sad the fediverse isn’t big enough to force them to behave. Ultimately though, if federated services continue to be hard to understand for the average user, people will slowly leave so that they can interact with normal people.
