My wife heavily uses her smartphone. Like, she’ll work on spreadsheets on her phone instead of grabbing her laptop.
I’m the opposite. I try to use my phone as little as possible.

I mean, the R1 was $200, came with a year of Perplexity, and didn’t require a subscription.
The Pin started at $500 and required a subscription, along with a new phone number.
Not that surprised.

I hate constantly needing to charge headphones and dealing with bluetooth connection issues. Way more annoying lol
My wired headphones.
Oh yeah?! Well… … … no, actually you’re right. Thanks! Must fffffooooccccuuusssss… 😬
I walk through my day and most people’s demeanor hasn’t changed in the slightest
I’m unhappy and angry at the situation. But, am I supposed to mope around all day or have depressing conversations with everyone I meet? Should I start fighting every Trump supporter in my small town?
Because … well … wait, not a bad idea. Although, this would get rid of comments. Which in my case, I didn’t have too many, so I could have manually added them back.
if I choose to store them online/cloud encrypted / (edit: encrypt first then upload it) … there’s always the potential for a very near future breaches or compromises
Does this matter? Say you upload your encrypted photo backup to Mega Upload (or whatever) and some unauthorized person gets a copy of your encrypted data. So? It’s encrypted? They can’t read or see the data?
Are you worried about state actors breaking the encryption?

I only code in binary-encoded programming languages.
Ah, ok. I was barking up the wrong tree.
I tried a random Writefreely instance and it was extremely barebones and had poor markdown styling. It gave me the impression that Writefreely is more for publishing short stories, rather than technical content.
(Is that the point of Writefreely?)
there’s tons of mechanisms to stop that from happening
Those are fake. Laws are fake. Government is fake. Money is fake. Everything is an illusion. It’s not a physical law of nature or something. It all boils down to if someone feels like doing something or meh… and the people in charge here are more like meh.
It doesn’t matter if I’m a good person, if I don’t believe in god, I’m going to hellll.
Yeah! It’s been great for me. No detection issues or weird bugs. The mobile and TV apps are also great!
