Day by day this circus gets crazier and crazier. The really crazy part, is I might be the crazy one. Everyone around me in this Midwest state is as excited as can be. They are head over heels that “he’s getting everything he said done” and I feel like my head is going to pop.

We talk about the leopards, but I think the leopards are starving. Conservative Reddit is throwing a party everyday, any article I read is “we’re winning” and people around me are high-fiving but can’t explain why what is happening is good. They just get the shit shoveled into their mouths and ask for seconds.

There was an article about how interest rates raise to 3%. Seeing the comment section was wild. It was all Biden’s fault because Trump was only in office for three weeks. Don’t mind that he’s been spouting off tariff talks since last year.

However, anything good that happened, even prior to Trump taking office, was his doing.

I dunno if I like articles like this, because I haven’t really heard anyone really say this. I like in podunk Midwest state and folks around here are set that things are already getting better, and if they aren’t, it’s because of the last administration or because Democrats keep getting in the way.

Online, comments from articles and a certain sub reddit are all bouncing around ecstatically and shouting “WINNING” with everything that is happening. I’d like to think the mirage is fading, but I have been able to find truth of that just yet.

I can only imagine it takes these ancient relics 10-15 minutes to go up and down stairs. The stairs aren’t the problem either.

A lot of people yelling that he’s not backtracking, that he’s just saying it’s hard. Did we not pay attention in 2016? “It’s easy, we’ll fix it in a day, I’ll do it faster than any other president”. Then it didn’t happen. Then it was hard, then it was in the works, then it was a concept, then it never came. We’re just going to have tons of repeats of the same old crap. I’m just waiting for the “who thought ending a war was difficult” quote to drop for Ukraine. (If it doesn’t just get handed over on a silver platter on day one)

So, weird similarities…I have a bag of napkins, like, the paper ones that you but from the store. I guess my dad bought them years ago and they just sat in his room, never used. After he passed, I figured, hey - free napkins.

I can’t bring myself to use them because they smell like his room.
