FWIW that page is a bit deceptive , it’s not saying it’s collecting all of that data. The only info on that page is “146 tracking attempts from Google”, which makes sense if it has Google ads.

how do you know the motives of something like that enough to know what’s pointless?

some instances do remove down votes, for that reason :)

unfortunately all the content is on YouTube. so your best bet is probably to use mods/ custom styling to make it better (remove thumbnails, clean up layout, etc) rather than use a different platform imo.
