I think that’s part of the trouble, Trump really *doesn’t* understand all the systems that allowed his wealth to grow in the USA. He’s busy tearing down the same systems that allowed him to be such a worthless waste that failed upward for eight decades.
You’re talking about Trump here, but really it describes the US as a whole. Americans don’t understand how the whole international system and “them paying for it” is really the basis for American hegemony, wealth and indispensability. ‘American exceptionalism’ is made possible by the global system they’re now tearing down.
Just think about all that prime real estate!

Great. First, let’s boycott all the oligarchs: Tesla, Meta, Google and Amazon. Avoid them like the plague, use (preferably Canadian, European or South American) alternatives. Tell your friends and family, point them to alternatives.
Second, let’s hit the rest of the US economy. We don’t need McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, bourbon and sub par crap like that. Cancel your Netflix, Disney+, AppleTv or other superficial propaganda tool subscription. Better for your wallet and your health, and it doesn’t sponsor complicit Republicans.
Don’t travel to the US, it’s an overrated, third world country failed upwards anyway.
Attention all federal employees! Chances are you’re gonna get your ass fired anyway, so malicious compliance is the watchword from now on. Leak, document, obfuscate, lie, confuse, sidetrack and goosechase them every chance you get.
Remember Hannah Arendt: evil is when every bureaucrat ‘just does their job’ because a higher power gave the order.
You’re the frontline of this fight now. Even if you never signed up for this. Because none of you did.
