As an American, we are all going to suffer and the earlier the better. Time and time again we see that the only way Trump supporters change is if they are personally affected. Thus we all need to pay in order to see change.

Maybe the biggest problem is that anyone who would educate themselves on anything in the first place wouldn’t be supporting fascism. So the people who need to read it most won’t care. The only thing that will stop their support is if they’re personally hurt, and even then.

I work out a lot more and eat healthier when I’m WFH. Doesn’t come close.

Why is the default position assuming this person is a menace enough to spend resources seeking out and removing? The studies I’ve seen say immigrants use fewer resources and provide more, but this narrative gets spread around that they’re just a bunch of leeches that deserve to be punished at great expense.

That’s not justice. That’s blindly following a law because you don’t know how to think or empathize.

There are so many things at stake, but people really don’t know how bad Trump’s supreme court has fucked the environment already. Getting the average voter to care about it won’t happen until it’s far too late. I try to just not think about it.

The best, simplest summation I’ve seen. Thank you. I’ve been searching for something to make sense of it and this is definitely it. Being forced into voting for the “least worst” candidate obscures where that path is headed by either candidate.

For an alternative, I went to Deezer and love it. You should look at some comparisons to see if one is better for you.

3 main reason I cancelled Amazon:

1. Counterfeits. Can get the items direct for same price & shipping now anyways.
2. Shipping so unreliable.
3. My "new" items were quite often repackaged returns, usually missing parts.

I mean, it's pretty simple for me in that I won't pay for a streaming service that has ads. Others might, but I don't care what others pay for. I left cable for this reason and I'll leave its next incarnation if that is to be.

Yup, it's so easy now to buy direct. Same price, same shipping, no counterfeits. One of the things that was really annoying me about Amazon was how often my "new" item was so obviously already opened and returned, often with parts missing. I cancelled and haven't looked back.

This is why I started using wireless charging whenever possible. USB will eventually fail from use.

Agreed. It sounds weird saying, but I feel that Valve did these things right or at least fixed them quickly thereafter. I’ve never felt any sense of pay-to-win or being left out playing TF2. Quite the opposite. I’d get the new items quick enough, and if there was anything in there articular I’d want then there was a robust market willing to make it happen for cheaper than I thought. And “cheaper” referring to in-game items.

The mini games can be a part of it. When they work they're intuitive, quick, and immersive. But sometimes the mini games aren't well thought out and/or not intuitive. The real problem for me is that I was 40 hours into the game and it's not only introducing new elements but the tutorials long, uninteresting, and constant. The game just doesn't have time to breathe.

I would say if you're on the fence you'll probably like it. Like I said, there IS an amazing game there. Just go in with lower expectations and you'll have a good time.

Edit: it's just frustrating because if the devs put the time spent on all the side elements into the core gameplay, then this game could have been something really special. As is, there are plenty of interesting things to do and cool, emergent moments smothered in a bunch of sub par game design and warioware.

Edit2: I'm definitely venting, too. The game looks incredible and there are also a ton of spoilers that you or others might find to be great moments.

I just finished it and was a bit underwhelmed. There is an amazing game there ruined by a lot of tangents with subpar game design. It was like they were not confident enough in their core gameplay and just kept adding mediocre noise instead of streamlining the main appeal. I just wanted to dive and run a restaurant and the game kept forcing me to do other things. Very frustrating.

It really annoys me that as a kid I learned about how awful Company Stores were, how lucky we were as a society to be past that history, and now they're back on the table.
