When big Tech, especially the biggest video platform in the world, does something like this it is relevant to tech. The better question is, if you do support lgbtq+ people, why the public freakout about mentioning a far reaching tech policy, by one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) tech company in the world, on a tech sub?

Sure, if your issue is that it’s okay for corporations to remove protections for hate speech towards marginalized groups, then yes, go get bent. This kind of false equivalence between normalizing hate and ostraciszing progressives for speaking out against oppression is EXACTLY what we’re fighting against. Wow. There’s a huge disparity between the brows on those two. No matter how blurry the first pics are, the thickness of Luigi’s brows would be noticeable. The person in that camera footage definitely doesn’t have thick eyebrows like Luigi :/

Yeah, I dabbled a bit with the full game since I own it through itch.io. But never played past the third stage. I’m no stranger towards brutal platformers though, so maybe that gave me a little bit of a boost. I can hold my own with fairly difficult games and have even tried my hand at some Mario Kaizo hacks. That said, I still felt like I was doing a lot worse than I was apparently. It’s also been quite some time since I really took on a challenge of this difficulty, as I have been mostly been playing cozy stuff like TOEM and GNOG lately. I’m really enjoying the change of pace though, it feels good to beat a good challenge like this again. I’m playing through Celeste Classic 2 now, and I’ll be playing the full Celeste soon as well.

Haha, and here I was thinking that I did horribly. I saw someone on a random reddit thread say they did it in 400 and something.

As I was typing this out I rechecked the thread and they we’re playing the full PC version with assist mode on. Apparently the PC version has the original playable within the game at some point. A quick Google search put the average at 1000-1200 or more deaths for the Pico-8 version.

Right on, that’s good on them. I was honestly disappointed to learn that they were deniers years ago, which definitely effected my ability to watch the show afterwards. I’ll have to check out the episode when I can.

That’s exactly it, I almost used the good cop/bad cop analogy for my original comment. It’s been glaringly obvious that the dems are just a pressure-release valve for people’s anger for some time now. They never live up to any of the expectations that people have for them. At this point it is a cruel Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown facade. And democrat voters eat it up every time.

Now the biggest sentiment from liberals is “this is your fault, if only you’d voted for the dems”, when it is largely irrelevant if voters do. The dems are just a friendlier looking version of a corporate controlled imperialistic government. The sooner the people realize this, the sooner we can actually mobilize people against the real enemies of the people, which is corporate control of both political parties. Until class-consciousness manifests itself on a much larger scale, we’ll continue to play these stupid corporate controlled dem vs repub games and win more stupid prizes.

It’s this rhetoric that plays perfectly into the class divide that the corporate asshats want everyone to fall for. “It’s your fault for not voting for the other corporate shill party!” Disregarding the fact that the main difference is one party is just mask off, and the other is mask on fascist. As many people rightly point out, the dems are controlled opposition. If they weren’t there would literally have been much more fight and pushback from them for the four years before Trump 2.0 (especially since they knew it was coming faaar in advance) rather then the milquetoast response we got from them, this was made quite obvious by the dems moving right in many policies and stumping with Cheney of all people. If these people really gave a shit about appealing to their constituents, they would’ve listened to the damn voters. This is all beside the point as modern American voting IS NOT determined by the voting public, but much more powerful interests. If you really believed your vote was effecting something in this, or any other election in the past 20+ years, I have a bridge to sell you in the Sahara.

That episode is commonly misunderstood. I too had always thought they were lampooning climate change deniers, but Matt and Trey were actually poking fun of Al Gore and An Inconvient Truth as alarmist. They’ve since apologized for the episode, but it’s wild that it’s so often confused for satirizing the very thing it was mocking. For me I just assumed that Matt and Trey wouldn’t be deniers so it never occured to me until I found out their true intention and now it’s pretty cringy to watch that episode since it’s a lot more obvious. It’s gotten a fair amount of attention so far, I’m sitting at 49 subscribers now. So, I think it’s best to stay where I’m at. I’d hesitate to move it right now after almost 50 subs. I could see if there was less traction, but right now it seems like it’s alright where it is.

You find tiny phonographs attached to each flower, playing a symphony of staccato squeaks. The music swells and as it does your thoughts become scattered and erratic, you feel your limbs begin to involuntarily move in jerky motions. The gazebo cries out in agony, a series of high-itched squeaks emit from it and it breaks apart into a swarm of purple rubber duckies that amass into a giant fist, pummeling you for your audacity. The fist swings, the purple duckies bobbing and undulating like a wave of scurrying ants. When the the fist hits you an enormous SQUEAK rattles you teeth. You fly backwards in an arc, hitting a nearby flower stand, the flowers explode out in a flurry of daisies, roses and tulips, the startled flower-seller jumps in the nearby shallow creek in a panic.
