My boss’s boss is in town today. And wants to do a ride along with me. I should see this as a compliment it is, but I don’t want anyone else in my vehicle.

trying to help my autistic friend to find some remote job in IT/CS but seems challenging
Ugh that is such a rough process, can feel so demotivating, and it’s an especially tough market for that field right now. I’m sure your friend has some strengths that will help them meet this challenge - they have you for social support, for example!
It is very competitive right now
Finding remote work is nearly impossible now ,unless you are highly skilled at something. Which is crap. So many jobs can be done at home and COVID proved that. But no we have to fill useless buildings with bodies.
