  • Ehhhh, you can still get in there. Also there are several control panel only functions. It’s been pretty frustrating how they’ve incremented change. I feel like they should have gone menu by menu in control panel and just built their new settings application page by page and then just pushed one big control panel alternative. Then they could phase the old one out or leave it in for legacy users or whatever. But the new settings and how that menu changes every few months is frustrating as hell.

  • More flooding the zone. He won’t do this. He is just stiring up more media to distract from him pickpocketing the whole country. His real deviousness is the sovereign fund play. He wants to take taxpayer dollars, which he is actively trying to raise for everyone making less than $500k a year, and put it into an investment fund that buys American stocks. Effectively, he wants to take money from 99% of Americans and just give it to the largest corporations. Everything else he is talking about is just distraction from that fact.

  • It’s not as simple as leaving the country. Not everyone has a passport here. And the vast majority of Americans cannot afford to up end their lives and skip town let alone move to another country entirely. Then it comes to which country to move to. Most countries have requirements for visa entry. If you intend on staying permanently, you have to meet even stricter requirements like higher education, and even then, they won’t permit your visa if you aren’t in a field that would do good for their country. Some places may have a program similar to America’s H1B visa where you can get a job and work in that job to stay in the country but then your livelihood is at the mercy of a stranger in a foreign land letting you keep your job until you can convince the government to give you citizenship. You don’t just move to another country. And anyone who can just move to another country is exceedingly privileged.

  • If you haven’t shot a fascist yet, you’re one of the Germans that let Nazis happen. Stop calling for other people to fight, you fucking cowards. Go fight for yourselves.

    Also:

I’m American and will not be flying across the country to throw my life away.

I’m just pointing out what you literally said in your initial comment. You said everyone who doesn’t fight but is calling for violence is letting the Nazi’s happen. Then you proceeded to say you are also not going to fight them… Also you said you weren’t going to use insults and then proceeded to throw the word coward in there without knowing anything about me. You don’t get to be a hypocrite and then be upset when your hypocrisy is pointed out. I’m not saying you should go fight, you clearly have your reasons not to, but you yourself just said that you can’t call for violence while not fighting.

  • I feel like a good countermeasure to tariffs would be to implement export tariffs. I’m not an economist but if you tax your own businesses exporting to the US and there are import fees on the other end as well, the importer gets absolutely screwed and will have to pass that along to the customer as well. Meaning a 25% tariff in the US could effectively be whatever price Canada wants it to be for the end consumer. Effectively turn the carrot into a stick.

  • Maybe I’m too tired or dumb to understand this… But 1 per 100k what? Is this successes per 100k attempts? Is it murderers per 100k people? 1 homicide per 100k human interactions? Maybe a citation would help me to understand the statistic you are referring to. It’s not that I don’t believe the sentiment of this comment but I really don’t know what the figures mean here so I can’t meaningfully gauge what each number means for the safety of a city.

But if everyone had the same amount of money, the interest is suddenly 0 because interest is made off the backs of debt holders. You can’t be a debt holder if you are wealthy enough to live on interest. Interest money always comes from somewhere. It’s inherently the transfer of wealth from one person to another. The idea that you might live stress free solely off of the interest of your wealth is capitalism. Meaning capitalism requires people to be in debt and it requires people to struggle while the wealthy do… passion projects? Sounds like an ideal society…

  • Probably the fact that you can collaboratively work on the same documents as other users. Or that syncing files to local devices is pretty easy and straightforward. Sharing is also dead easy. From an IT perspective, file retention and versioning is a game changer. I just restored a computer that an angry user attempted to delete all files from when they had been fired because all the data was backed up to OneDrive. I think people just hate OneDrive because it’s often advertised. I think very few people who actually make full use of it, actually hate it.
